6/11/19 - Mt. Pleasant, S.C.

Today we went into Charleston.  We parked at the visitor center and went in to get maps and information on Charleston.  We walked all over the downtown area with the first stop at the historic Market. This market is the epiceter for sweetgrass basketry,  Making of these baskets originated in Africa and they have been made in Charleston from local marsh grasses for over 300 years.  Then we walked to Waterfront Park, Rainbow Row Houses, and Battery Point.  We had an early supper at Bubba Gump Seafood.  On the way back to camp we stopped at Westbrook Brewing.  This was one of the best breweries on the whole trip.  Just as we got back to the Casita it started to rain again.
